Tariff schedule changes
Tariff schedule changes are tracked by comparing the newest quarterly download of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States with the one before it, line by line by tariff number. The table will show each tariff number that was added or removed between the two releases, and for numbers present in both, any change to general rate, column 2 rate or description, with values before and after. Both download dates are stated on the page, and rows are re-derived from the two downloads at every publish.

Methodology
The newest quarterly download of the schedule is compared line by line with the one before it, by tariff number. A number present in only one release is added or removed; a number in both releases with a different general rate, column 2 rate or description is one row per difference, with the value before and after. Lines without a number are headings whose text the numbered lines already carry. Both download dates are stated on the page, and the rows are re-derived from the two downloads at every publish, never edited.
